Atlanta-Gambia Emergency Relief Association's Reunion

Updated: Aug 31, 2018

This past weekend, Founding Director Ashleigh DeLuca traveled to Atlanta, Georgia to attend the Atlanta-Gambia Emergency Relief Association's 'July Fourth Reunion'. Ashleigh spent three days in Atlanta, meeting with potential donors, networking, and raising awareness about the Starling Sponsorship Program and our mission.“I am very grateful for the warm reception and support that we received from AGERA and its members” said Ashleigh, noting that the Starling Sponsorship Program strongly benefited from the weekend.

The Atlanta Gambian Emergency Relief Association (AGERA) is a non-profit community association which was created to inform and engage the Gambian community in the United States, and to create an emergency relief fund for crises in The Gambia. AGERA serves all Gambians, regardless of their religious, political and tribal-ethnic background, with the mission of creating a community in which togetherness will be their motto and unity will be their passion. The Starling Sponsorship Program would like to thank AGERA for their support and hope that together we can establish future successful partnerships.
